Thoughtful Care, Without Outside Constraints

Understanding our private-pay model and how it supports
confidentiality, flexibility, and intentional therapy.

Care Guided by Privacy,
Choice, and Intention

At Integrative Psychotherapy Group, we operate as a private-pay practice. This decision is intentional and reflects our commitment to providing therapy that is confidential, flexible, and centered on your needs, rather than shaped by insurance requirements or third-party oversight.

Many clients arrive with questions about insurance, cost, and what private pay means for their care. This page is designed to offer clarity and transparency so you can make an informed decision that feels aligned and right for you.

Why We Do Not Accept Insurance

Thoughtful, responsive care,
without unnecessary constraints.

Insurance coverage often includes requirements that influence how therapy is documented, structured, and delivered.

These may include:

  1. A formal mental health diagnosis
  2. Limits on the number or length of sessions
  3. Requests for detailed progress notes or treatment justification

When insurance is involved, aspects of your care and your personal information may be shared beyond the therapy room. By working outside of insurance networks, we’re able to preserve your privacy and maintain full clinical autonomy in how your therapy unfolds.

Have Questions About Private Pay?

Protecting Confidentiality
And Control

Therapy without labels, reporting, or outside influence.

Insurance reimbursement requires a documented diagnosis that becomes part of your permanent medical record. For some individuals, this can carry unintended implications related to employment, legal matters, or future insurance coverage.

At IPG, we approach therapy as a human process, not simply a medical condition to be classified. Private pay allows you to engage in care without labels, external reporting, or pressure to frame your experience in diagnostic terms. You retain control over your story, your pace, and the direction of your work.

Freedom to Focus on What
Truly Matters

Therapy shaped by your goals, not predefined treatment plans.

Without insurance-imposed constraints, therapy can be structured around what matters most to you. This freedom allows us to:

  1. Focus on growth, insight, and emotional well-being rather than symptom checklists
  2. Adjust session frequency and duration based on your needs
  3. Engage in deeper, relational work that isn’t bound by rigid benchmarks

The result is care that feels intentional, responsive, and aligned with your life, never rushed or transactional.

Gentle First Step

A Thoughtful
Investment in
Your Well-Being

Supporting meaningful, long-term change.

Private-pay therapy is an investment in long-term emotional health, clarity, and quality of life. Clients who choose this path often find they’re able to engage more fully in the therapeutic process, leading to deeper insight and more sustainable change over time.

By removing external pressure to “fix” or categorize, we create space for work that supports resilience, self-awareness, and lasting transformation—not just short-term relief.

 Exploring out-of-network options.

While IPG does not bill insurance directly, some clients choose to use out-of-network benefits. Our team is happy to discuss whether this may be an option for you and what documentation we can provide to support reimbursement.
