Therapy for Parents and Household Managers

Work that never clocks out.
Running a household and raising a family is a full-time job with no pay, no review, and no days off. Whether or not you also work outside the home, carrying the mental load for everyone else can leave very little for you.
- The invisible mental load
- Parenting and caregiver burnout
- Losing yourself in everyone else's needs
- Guilt about needing rest

What this can look like in therapy.
Group therapy can offer a setting for noticing how you carry responsibility and ask for support. When burnout creates distance at home, couples work can help you attend to the relationship rather than making one partner carry the problem.
Honest answers before you reach out.
Is burnout a diagnosis?
Burnout is described in the ICD-11 as an occupational phenomenon, not a medical condition. Feeling depleted still deserves care, whether it is related to paid work, caregiving, or another part of life. A therapist can assess whether depression, anxiety, trauma, or other concerns are also present.
Do you offer sessions in the evenings or via telehealth?
Yes. We offer in-person care in Los Angeles and telehealth across California, New York, and Texas. Evening availability can accommodate demanding schedules; contact us to discuss current openings and a clinician licensed where you will attend sessions.
Do you take insurance?
Please see our Insurance & Private Pay page for current information, and contact us with questions about fees and payment before beginning care. Insurance & Private Pay →
